                      Why choose Jr. Kindergarten...

                      Small Class Size
Plenty of one-on-on attention for everybody.  Ratio of one teacher per every 12 children maximum (but the average is usually quite a bit less than that).

                      Academics
We learn letters, phonic sounds, numbers, writing (and many other concepts) as well as the Bible.
The use of manipulatives makes learning feel like games.

                      Roll Play and Dramatization
                      How great to pretend!
Many of our activities involve roll-play opportunities.

                      Scientific Exploration
                      Opportunities abound for experimentation.  Proper
hands-on materials are available so the children can explore scientific principles.

                      Community Involvement
Visits and interaction with community helpers are encouraged (including police officers, fire fighters, dental professionals, medical personnel, and many others).

                      Cooking
Children love to cook!  Measuring, following a recipe, mixing and tasting.  What a great opportunity for learning.

                      On-Stage Performances
There are two separate opportunities during the year for the children to perform to a large group.  What a great experience for the children and truly memorable ones for Mom and Dad.

                      Arts & Crafts
Everyday opportunities.  Fun, fun, fun, fun!   Need I say more?

                      Group Games
Children love to play games!  Teacher created games are designed for specific learning goals and targeted to our curriculum.

                      Dress-up Fun:
Imagination is a big part of childhood.  The children love to pretend to be super-heros, princesses, pirates, and more.

                      Spanish
Children are taught Spanish two to three times a week.

                      Sharing
School is a place to share and learn about each other.  Communication skills, socialization and the ability to take turns are an integral part of each day.

                      Party Days
School party days are fun for all. What an excellent chance to learn about the traditions associated with each holiday (as well as their historical significance). Best of all is the excitement and anticipation in planning for such memorable days.

                      Movement & Music
Songs and music (as well as dancing with streamers, using bean bags, rhythm sticks, and bells to name a few) are important activities in helping to develop large motor skills, listening skills, the ability to follow directions, left/right discrimination, and to just have a good time!

                      Outdoor Play
Outstanding playground facilities are available including  swings, bicycles, balls, climbing structures, slides, teeter-totters, water play tables, scooters,  hopscotch, and a huge sandbox area.  Our playground is fully enclosed and protected from "stranger danger".

                      Cooperative Play
Children work and play together.  They learn about taking turns, following directions, using manners, socialization, focusing on a common goal; all while having wonderful new experiences with other children.

                      Parent Participation
Parents are encouraged to help in the classroom whenever possible and are invited to school for numerous activities.
